WHAT IS HOMESTAY?
Homestay is a successful short-term accommodation choice for Coventry University students and visitors, whereby you are welcomed directly into someone’s home.
- Domestic students
- International students
- Pre-sessional English
- Erasmus students
- Exchange students
- Undergraduate students
- Postgraduate students
- Visiting researchers
- Visiting academics wishing to live with host families
There are many advantages to this kind of accommodation. Firstly, there is no commitment to a stay for a long period of time (often as little as four weeks), so if it isn't working, you can end the arrangement fairly easily.
Secondly, Homestays provide more than just a roof over one's head - it really is about bringing the global community together at a common table with a rich variety of cultural learning opportunities, such as holiday celebrations, religious practices, sporting events, etc.
Finally, and perhaps most importantly, a Homestay often results in visitors developing lasting friendships with their families. Such a personal connection gives many visitors a real sense of stability in their lives here at Coventry University.
Whatever your style, we will make a concerted effort to match you with a Host that fits with your needs. The FutureLets accommodation team personally visits every Homestay Host to ensure that the highest standards are met before the student/visitor is placed.
